SEO on All Criminal Justice Schools

In 2022, I had the opportunity to (search engine) optimize All Criminal Justice Schools, a website in the education space that hadn’t seen new content in many years. This was a large site that didn’t have great architecture, click depth or schema data, and it hadn’t been optimized to modern CWV and EEAT algorithm updates.

The optimization plan I presented and implemented included:

  • Add blog to site for interest and news posts
  • Add specialty hub for specific jobs
  • Architect careers in hub and spoke model
  • Clarify keyword goals by splitting law enforcement hub into local and federal hubs
  • Add emerging criminal justice career hubs of cybersecurity and emergency management
  • Create private investigations hub
  • Update existing content to remove keyword cannibalization, improve EEAT, add SME expertise, increase depth of information, add structured data, improve heading structures, and include in-content product widgets
  • Update taxonomy to reflect current situation

Pages updated spring of 2022, and even pages updated in August and September of 2022, began to see a YoY growth in traffic, both impressions and clicks, in December of 2022 and January 2023.
